JOIN the Wednesday Challenge AUCKLAND
Our Auckland businesses and schools are leading by example.Come join them!

The challenge is on for 2025

THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE

Are you a business who likes to lead by example? Our Auckland Challenge is kicking off on Wednesday May 21st.

We are starting with businesses in Wynyard Quarter and challenging participants to choose a healthier mode to get to and from work every Wednesday. Instead of taking the car, try biking, running, walking, catching the bus or train or carpooling.

The Wednesday Challenge means everyone benefits from reduced traffic congestion and carbon emissions and a boost to their health, well-being and productivity.

Compete for your place on our leaderboards and the chance to win some great prizes and rewards.

THE SCHOOLS CHALLENGE

Made possible thanks to the Auckland Climate Grant, the Auckland Council Sustainable Schools Team and Auckland Transport, the Wednesday Challenge encourages students and teachers to bus, bike, walk, run, scooter or mode share their way to school. It’s our way of reducing road congestion and carbon emissions, reducing school gate congestion and encouraging better health and wellbeing.Making the Challenge even more fun and exciting for students and schools is the amazing cash prizes and rewards we have up for grabs, thanks to our amazing friends and supporters at Mercury.
